With more than 33 years of experience in the construction industry, Greg Zarifian brings a diverse background in residential framing, infrastructure, and healthcare construction to Stebnitz Builders. His career has included everything from framing homes throughout the Chicagoland area to working on major bridge projects and specialized occupied-space renovations in hospitals.
Since joining Stebnitz Builders in March 2026, Greg has enjoyed the strong team culture and the opportunity to mentor the next generation of carpenters. He is especially passionate about communication, organization, and collaboration—qualities he believes are essential to delivering successful projects safely and efficiently.
One of Greg’s favorite projects was helping restore the historic bell tower at St. Peter’s Church in East Troy, Wisconsin, where careful planning and teamwork were required to safely remove a 2,600-pound bell that had been in place since 1875.
Outside of work, Greg is an avid fly fisherman who enjoys traveling around the country in pursuit of trout and salmon. He sees many similarities between fly fishing and carpentry, both requiring patience, precision, and a commitment to mastering a craft.
