Discovery Initial Phone Conversation
Your remodeling journey begins with a focused 20-minute phone call to determine if Stebnitz Builders is the right partner for your project. We don’t just ask about the physical changes you want, we listen to why you want them. We discuss your goals, your timeline, and the specific frustrations with your current space that you hope to solve. This initial conversation is critical for establishing trust and transparency from day one. Consultation In-Home Meeting
Following our initial phone discussion, if we agree that Stebnitz Builders is the right fit for your needs, we will schedule an in-home appointment with one of our Remodeling Consultants. During this visit, we spend approximately one hour getting to know you and your home better. We listen to your goals, identify obstacles, and offer advice on the best course of action without getting bogged down in small details yet. Instead, we focus on your high-level vision and discuss the feasibility of your ideal budget range. While we won’t have exact costs at this stage, having a practical conversation about numbers helps us direct you toward the most effective solution. We ensure there is plenty of time to answer every question you have.
Budget Opinion of Probable Cost
After our visit, your Remodeling Consultant returns to the office to develop a comprehensive scope of work and an estimated budget range, which we call an “Opinion of Probable Cost.” Depending on the complexity of your project, this detailed analysis typically takes one to two weeks to complete, ensuring we provide you with a realistic financial roadmap before moving forward.
Design Project Development & Selections
During Project Development, we narrow down your favorite ideas into a final design based on the criteria we established during our initial conversations and site visit. Once you love the design, we move immediately into selections. We work closely with you to finalize every finishing touch—cabinetry, countertops, flooring, plumbing fixtures, tile, and paint colors—before construction ever begins. Making these decisions upfront ensures a much smoother process for you in the long run. While you are choosing finishes, our team is hard at work behind the scenes finalizing critical construction details, producing a fully completed set of construction documents ready for the build phase.
Contract Proposal & Agreement
With all details determined, costs calculated, and selections finalized, we prepare your official proposal and contract. This document clearly outlines the full scope of work, production schedule, and payment terms. We invite you back to our office to review the project plan, confirm your selections, and sign the agreement. After this phase, we are ready to start creating the new space you’ve been dreaming about!
Construction The Build Phase
Turning ideas on paper into reality begins now. Our expert carpenters and trade partners arrive daily, fully equipped to transform your plan into a living space. Your Production Manager will meet with you regularly to review progress, discuss milestones, and manage expectations. You are in good hands with our skilled craftsmen, who are ready to answer any questions as your project moves forward.
