Our clients purchased this home with the goal of creating a homestead that would allow the two sisters to keep their families close. More importantly, they wanted a space that allowed them to not only enjoy that time together, but do so while taking advantage of their beautiful, serene setting.
Our design team, led by Jeff Auberger, went to work creating a three-season room that allows our clients to enjoy their surroundings earlier in the spring and later in the fall. The Sun Space vinyl window system allows our clients the freedom to experience a calming breeze or protect them from the crisp autumn winds. The distressed beams add a rustic character to this space, which aids in the transition from inside the home, out. The dual-sided fireplace assists in the transition by giving our clients a glimpse of their living room through the flames of a warm fire.
When our clients walk out the back door, they are welcomed by an exterior space meant to entertain and fully enjoy the setting. With two grills and ample seating, our clients have the perfect place to enjoy throughout an array of weather systems southeastern Wisconsin normally delivers. Brick pavers give our clients solid ground while allowing for natural drainage which keeps their yard dry and pristine.
The final aspect of this remodel was the road-facing, exterior facelift. Our clients were looking to replace the pillars from the original home with a cleaner look, which also included a second-story balcony. This offers them the opportunity to enjoy the views from their front porch from two levels. The exterior changes our clients made brought the house from a simple look to something very classic and refined, revealing its full potential as a beautiful home.
