When John and Diane decided to remodel their Lake Geneva home, their vision was clear: they wanted to modernize their kitchen, reimagine their laundry room, and turn their outdoor living space into an extension of their home. Their goal was to create a thoughtful renovation that balanced beauty, comfort, and practicality, while fully utilizing the natural views surrounding their property.
The heart of the project was the kitchen. While maintaining the existing footprint, we created a space that was both efficient and visually refreshed. New custom Shiloh cabinetry, quartzite countertops, and upgraded lighting enhanced the space, while new oak flooring was installed throughout the main level. The original wood floors were carefully refinished to blend seamlessly, creating a consistent flow throughout the home. Large windows at the back of the kitchen offer stunning views of the wooded lot, bringing the outdoors inside and making the space feel warm, open, and welcoming. Today, the kitchen functions as both a practical hub for daily living and an attractive setting for entertaining family and friends.
The laundry room also underwent a major transformation. The layout was reconfigured to maximize every square foot, enhancing the space’s efficiency and comfort. New cabinetry was installed, including a new linen closet that offers much-needed storage and organization. What was once a basic utility area is now a bright, polished space that makes everyday chores simpler and more enjoyable.
Outside, John and Diane wanted their backyard to reflect their love for entertaining and the outdoors. Their existing deck was resurfaced with low-maintenance Azek composite decking, ensuring long-lasting durability. A new fire pit and grilling station created the perfect gathering spot for family and friends, while a fenced-in area was added to keep their dogs safe and close to home. Finally, upgraded patio doors were installed to improve visibility and strengthen the connection between their indoor spaces and the wooded backyard.
To bring everything together, the interior was repainted, giving the home a fresh, unified appearance that connected all the remodeled areas.
From the kitchen and laundry room to the back deck and beyond, John and Diane’s remodel added comfort, functionality, and beauty to every part of their home. The result is a modern retreat, perfectly suited for how they live today and for many years to come.
