Donna and Gary envisioned a master bathroom that was both stylish and future-friendly — a space in their Fontana, Wisconsin home where comfort met thoughtful design. Their goal: to transform a dated, confined layout into a light-filled, inviting retreat they could enjoy for years to come.
Guided by Remodeling Consultant Jeff “Chopper” Anderson, the couple landed on a design that blends smart space planning with stunning visual details. The focal point of the new bathroom is the beautifully crafted tile walk-in shower, which features intricate tile work, a frameless glass door, and a custom floating bench tucked into the corner for both function and beauty. To enhance the sense of openness, Chopper designed a glass half wall between the shower and vanity. The wall that once completely separated the shower from the rest of the room now allows light to pass through, creating a space that feels much larger.
The custom vanity is topped with white quartz, which is echoed in the threshold between the vanity and the shower for a seamless, unified look. This bright, clean finish contrasts elegantly with the matte black plumbing fixtures and vanity hardware, giving the room a timeless and polished style.
To make the most of every square inch, Chopper replaced the traditional swinging door with a sliding barn door. The change provided even more usable space, while also giving the room its own special charm.
The result is a master bathroom that’s as functional as it is beautiful — a serene, thoughtfully designed space that Donna and Gary will enjoy for years to come.
