Our clients, who are recently semi-retired, were ready to enjoy some well-earned peace and relaxation. Their friends, also Stebnitz Builder clients (see “Fontana Home Revitalized…” in our Whole Home portfolio) invited them to their newly renovated home in Fontana and introduced them to Lake Geneva. Needless to say, that visit was a life-changer.
They fell in love with the area and found an amazing property in the Cedar Pointe Park subdivision. They put in an offer and immediately called their friends to get our contact information. Before they closed on the home, they met with Stebnitz Builders Remodeling Consultant, Jeff Auberger, to discuss the ideas they had for transforming the home and property into the home of their dreams.
The renovation touched every room in the home. New kitchen cabinets and complimentary built-ins beautify the main floor and lower level. The owner’s bathroom, and three others, were completely renovated. A screen room was converted to a three-seasons space utilizing the SunSpace window system, radiant ceiling heaters and cable railing. Decorative wainscot and millwork details compliment the architectural style. The walk-out concrete patio was enhanced with outdoor cabinets, two beverage centers and paver-stone overlay. The steep slope to the lake was redesigned with the use of High Format outcropping walls, stairs and pavers to address erosion and safety concerns while dramatically enhancing the beauty and safety of the property.
As you walk in through the front door you are greeted by an expansive, welcoming kitchen and great room. The views of Geneva Lake are immediate and complemented by the light colors of the space. This area is perfect for entertaining and enjoying time together with plenty of space for friends and family.
As you pass through the great room, you reach a three-season porch that perfectly capitalizes on the amazing lake views from the home. This space was designed to enjoy all the wonderful parts of being close to the lake, while maintaining the comforts of the home. It quickly became our clients favorite place in the home to relax, enjoying drinks, dinner, a good book or time with friends and family while watching the breathtaking sunsets across Geneva Lake.
Heading to the second floor, you will find the owner’s suite with a private balcony for more exhilarating views of the lake. The second floor also features two additional bedrooms, a full bathroom and laundry room.
The lower level adds the fourth and final bedroom suite, another entertainment area with built-in seating and media area for movies. It also provides access to the outdoor paver patio that creates a gateway to the amazing pathway to the lake.
